Karate is an art that builds self-discipline, character, balance, and focus.
It’s a fundamental part of our student training. But self-defense has
changed in recent years with the proven success of mixed martial arts training
which incorporates the best striking and kicking techniques from Karate and
Boxing, and blends in the grappling/submission techniques from Jiu Jitsu. Making
for a versatile practitioner in any situation.
Master Tony Caravelli has been at the forefront of the mixed martial arts revolution training with champions in the MMA world such as the legendary Frank Shamrock. Master Caravelli has trained Police, Military personnel (from Navy Seals to Force Recon Marines), and plenty of kids — several of whom have gone on to win national and state championships in Karate competitions.
It’s part of our student creed and our way of life. Building respect
for yourself and others goes hand-in-hand with self-confidence and personal

Obesity has become the fastest growing health problem in the United States. Modern lifestyles often don’t give us the physical activity our bodies need to keep fit. One of our goal’s is to get students into great physical shape while learning self-defense skills they’ll have for a lifetime. Flexibility, muscular strength, and aerobic conditioning are essential to good health and help us to avoid injuries.

fun, and camaraderie. The traits they learn in our classes will help them learn
to focus and make better decisions in school and in life.
Television, computer and video games contribute to children’s inactive lifestyles, and the number of overweight children has skyrocketed in the past two decades. These overweight children and adolescents have a 70% chance of becoming obese adults and set’s them up for health problems for the rest of their lives.
